Thanks for your post. Here are some more infos about the differences between these two sub models.
The 7050A is no longer in production as it is replaced by the 7050B. The 7050A was a stereo sub with two inputs only. The replacement 7050B includes a 5.1 connection system that allows to connect 5 main speakers to the subwoofer. This implies that the 7050B is well matched for 5 x 8020A or for 2 x 8030A's (equivalent to 1029A's).
The 7050B extends down to 25 Hz and has much more flexibility due to the extended suround capability.
Both models however are fully compatible with either the 10XX series or the 8000 series.
